Online English Classes
If you are an individual or a church this is a great opportunity for evangelism from your own home. Many Albanians that know English have a great desire to improve it. Since they lack opportunities for improving their English we arrived at an idea to help them in their need while making Christ known. In this way, we are seeking to connect one American believer with one Albanian non-believer. They will meet personally online once a week for a one-hour session for a minimum of 10sessions. They will go through this curriculum, and the Albanians will benefit from the improvement of their English and the Americans will be personally sharing the gospel. The Albanian students are found via the church's social media and we don’t know them personally. They come from various age groups, 15 years and older. But, they see the possibility that we give to them and they register. Then we contact them personally through an interview to get some basic information about them and their level of English. In the meantime, they know that the church is offering this possibility and they have the perception that we will have discussions on spiritual themes. The Americans that are participating in this program don’t have to be professional teachers. Their spiritual maturity is a very important criterion for their willingness to help. The matching with the Albanian student will be based according to gender, male-with-male, female-with-female. We will make our best effort to match according to profession, hobbies, and ages but we don’t guarantee it. It is important that the American will commit to a time of prayer for the Albanian student during the whole program. It is important for the American to share with the group of other American teachers about his/her experience and encourage one another. Online International Teenager connections
Generally, teenagers all over the world share a desire to connect online with other teenagers from other cultures and countries. We want to use this possibility to encourage Christian teenagers to be active in making Christ known among teenagers from other cultures who are not believers through online communication as well a cross-cultural digital exchange. This online project has been evolving over the course of some months and we would love to finalize it by having the American teenager group come to a retreat in Albania to meet face to face with their Albanian teenagers.
How does it work?
We connect with the Christian teenager’s group leader and establish the plan.
Together we facilitate each live session, manage the topics, and help facilitate the conversations.
Live sessions will take place once in two weeks for about 90 minutes.
Teenagers will have online, evangelistic and spiritual discussions, opinions, cultural exchange, games, bible verses memorization competitions in different languages etc.
