Our Vision

The Illyricum Movement is a Christian church planting organization that was born in 2012 by a group of Albanian indigenous believers, who came from Muslim backgrounds and who had a desire to see churches being planted and established in Albania and beyond.

Illyricum Movement has a presence in Albania, USA, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Kosovo and Mongolia.

 
 
 

The Vision of Illyricum Movement

Illyricum Movement exists to plant and establish healthy local churches that will help every person experience new life in Christ. We help them both to grow in personal relationship with God and to go out and make disciples of all nations by planting and establishing other churches. (Matt 28:18-20)

 

Where does the name “Illyricum Movement” come from?

Romans 15:19 says “in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” "Illyricum” of the Bible time is the location of Albania today.

 
 

3 main aspects of the Albanian ministry are:

  1. Church Planting Ministry
    Recently, eight churches were planted in the countries of Albania, Kosovo, and Mongolia and are led by indigenous, first-generation Christian leaders.

  2. International Biblical Training Center (IBTC)
    Every year about forty church leaders(along with their families) from rural regions of different countries will be coming and staying in Albania for one year, to be trained and equipped in ministry, home schooling, and to gain a vocation.

  3. Evangelistic projects

    1. Online English classes. We pair one Albanian non-believer who is interested in improving his/her English with one mature American believer, and they meet remotely. It is a great opportunity to share Jesus.

    2. Online International Teenager Connections. We pair Albanian non-believing teenagers with mature American Christian teenagers for the purpose of having spiritual discussions.

    3. Evangelistic Rural Projects. Especially during the summer we give out Bibles and share Jesus with people from rural areas of Albania, who have not heard about Christ.

    4. Mission trips in the West. We have organized short mission trips to the Netherlands to evangelize minorities in cooperation with Dutch local churches.
